Carrier Eligibility & Consolidation Guardrails

Guardrails for tendering / consolidating freight onto a carrier for a consignee. These are Helixor RULES over the tensor constraint network — HARD rules cannot be violated (a breach makes the action infeasible / blocked); SOFT rules can be violated but carry a weighted penalty so the score can make trade-off decisions ("consolidate onto BUDG" vs "onto Swift"). Same manifest the router optimizes against, so the workbook's rule callouts and the solver's constraints never drift.

Objectives#

What the solver optimizes. Enabled objectives are weighed together.

ObjectiveWhat it meansDirectionOn by defaultWeight
Minimize Consolidation Cost
minimize_consolidation_cost
Primary objective the router minimizes: handling + linehaul to consolidate the tendered shipments.minimizeYes1.0

Problem inputs#

The setup values you send with a problem. The console renders them as form fields.

Constraints#

A hard constraint must hold or the problem is infeasible; a soft one adds a penalty when broken.

ConstraintWhat it requiresKindOn by default
Carrier Authorized for Consignee
carrier_authorized_for_consignee
The carrier must be on the consignee's approved-carrier list. Tendering / consolidating onto a carrier the customer has not authorized is blocked. (This is the container-consolidation example: pick a disallowed carrier and the workbook tells you exactly which rule you broke.)hardYes
Carrier Insurance Valid
carrier_insurance_valid
The carrier's insurance must not be expired. Evaluated against the FUSED golden record — the authoritative DOT/MC registry wins over the operational TMS, so a carrier whose registry insurance is 'Expired' is blocked even if the TMS still shows 'Active'.hardYes
Carrier Mode Match
carrier_mode_match
The carrier must operate the transport mode required by the shipments being consolidated.hardYes
Prefer On-Time Carriers
prefer_on_time
Prefer carriers whose on-time percentage meets the floor. A shortfall is a soft penalty proportional to how far below the floor the carrier is.softYes
Prefer Fresh Insurance
prefer_insurance_fresh
Prefer carriers whose insurance is not close to lapsing, even if currently valid.softYes
